On Saturday, January 8, 3GR Butterscotch, an amber self, gave birth to a litter of 15 beautiful babies (5 males, 10 females). This is the Teddy Bear Litter. Click on the heart ♥ to see the proud parents' pedigrees.

This litter replicates the first litter we ever had with Petey (fawn) as sire and Bailey (amber) as dam. The babies will be their great-great-great grandchildren.

We chose this combination once again from the same line (with a bit of inbreeding) because of the quality of the health and temperament of these rats. This line has also produced exceptional show quality and pet rats.

It seems that the agouti rats are very resilient. We feel that periodically breeding back to standard is a good idea for the health of the breeding colony. These babies all carry red and ped; some will carry dumbo and some will carry velveteen. All are agouti selfs. They will have beautiful ticked fur meaning that it will be brown with reddish blonde highlights.

We recommend these babies to breeders wanting to strengthen their lines and to anyone wanting an exemplary pet.
