The Magical Creatures Litter

We named this the magical creatures litter because the lives of the babies had a magical beginning. The Mama, Wispa, gave birth to these seven babies, but it was obvious that there were still some inside that had not been born. Sometimes, this can mean that the mother will need to be spayed and then she may not produce milk. We were very worried, so took her to the vet and she was given some oxytocin. All the while, Wispa had been very nurturing of her babies and was making lots of milk for them. Wispa did pass the remaining babies, unfortunately none survived. But, she did and the other seven did without mishap. They are all very strong and healthy and so is the Mama. These babies are very gentle and friendly as well.

The Burmese and Sable rats are relatively new in this area. Some were imported from the UK about a year ago. They are absolutely beautiful! One of our Burmese from the Japanese litter took Reserve of Show at the Spring show this year.
